FarmTech Solution’s line of robust, cost-effective estrous detectors pinpoint forthcoming estrous and increase your breeding success. It’s that simple.
Research shows a high rate of missed estrous detection in breeding practice and that inadequate estrous detection is a major cause of increased expenses and lost profits. Failure to detect estrous in a timely and accurate manner is often cited as the most common and costly problem of AI programs and heat detection is the major factor limiting reproductive performance on farms.
Missed estrous cycles are costly, difficult to detect and easily missed. Proper estrous detection is critical to farm performance and vital on dairy farms. The Estrous Detector provides producers with an easy to use and inexpensive solution to accurately identify estrous and not miss another cycle. Pinpoint forthcoming estrous and increase your breeding success. It’s that simple.
FarmTech Solution’s line of livestock estrous detector are designed for both small and large livestock: sheep, goats, pigs, cows and mares.

While various bio-technical methods of estrous observation have been investigated, it is well established that changes in the ovaries are accompanied by changes in the electrical resistance of the animal’s vaginal mucus and hormones.
In a healthy animal’s vagina, the electrical and chemical characteristics of mucus changes in a predictable pattern from the beginning to the end of the ovulation cycle. By measuring and noting these changes, you can determine that ovulation is pending, happened or that an animal is pregnant (results do not show another pattern of ovulation).
Measurements are simple, fast and require just a few seconds. Taking a reading once per day is ideal, the device displays the results as a number. A few days before ovulation, the results will begin to decline which is your sign it is almost time to breed.
